via rev margaret: We need everyone who reads this to pray that whatever is best for Tyler happens tomorrow. If they do nothing he will die because the brain tumor is aggressive and it is growing and bleeding into the brain. Surgery is very risky but it is his last hope, it is booked for Tuesday a.m starting at 7 a.m. I will be at the hospital with the family. Surgery could take up to 10 hours.

via vivian, 022311 10 pm et: Tyler is due to have brain surgery to again try to remove the tumour. It is a very risky operation, normally the doctors wouldn't operate on a patient this weak, but they have been left with no choice . They are waiting for the specialist to clear his schedule and that culd be as early as Friday. Once I know the time, will pst it. 3 hours ago

via rev marg:
Tyler Ketchum started having difficulty breathing this afternoon, his temperature went sky high, and his heart beat sped way up. They transferred him back into ICU around suppertime. Susan and I sat with Vivian for about an hour and a half in the waiting area before Vivian and I were allowed to go in to see him. He was much more comfortable however, he is back on the respirator.

lungs working, but bleeding has begun again, via vivian 021811

Tyler lungs are behaving again and he is holding his own, but the tumour is bleeding again after 6 weeks of not bleeding. The doctors are going to wait unitl his breathing is more stable and major surgery will be done to try to remove the tumour.

Tyler is working on his second set of nine lives. If one does not believe in prayer, come and sit by my son's bedside and see how prayers are keeping my son alive.

surgery today went ok - via rev marg 021011

tyler update via rev marg 021011: Tyler Ketchum is still in ICU. He had more surgery today to put a feeding tube directly into his stomach and to do a Trach through his neck. He tolerated the surgery well. The tumor is not bleeding this week and the fluid on his brain is way less. If that stays stable then maybe they can do radiation to treat the tumor. Keep praying.

Another wait and see moment for Tyler. There hasn't been any changes in his condition, but still not stable. It is like he hit the pause button.
